Call 911, He’s Punching Her!

Jesus Talk

“The Lord’s lovingkindness indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail.” Lamentations 3:22

The door to the vehicle was open and there was an older middle-aged man repeatedly punching a lady (or so I thought) laying back in the back seat…

My wife and I had the opportunity to go to the Clark County Fair last evening. We were given two free tickets! We loved going to the fair together when we were in high school. There are three things that we both enjoy about the fair. Elephant Ears, Exhibits, and Animals!

Unfortunately, I wasn’t totally prepared when we got there. I had not stopped by the ATM to get cash! So, when I pulled up to park, I quickly realized that I would need to find an ATM. We drove to the closest Fred Meyer; when we started leaving the parking lot I saw the struggle happening in the vehicle. I told Rebecca to call 911 as I got out of the car and yelled, “Hey, knock it off!” The man looked up, quickly moved to the driver’s seat, started the car to race out of the parking lot while the other individual got out of the car.

After that incident, I had a disgusted feeling inside toward both of those people. As I was driving away from the scene, I was thinking horrible thoughts toward them. Then, God reminded me that He sent His Son to die on the cross for them. God is a God of mercy, forgiveness, compassion, and love! All I wanted to think about in that instance is what those individuals were doing wrong, and how bad it was. Don’t get me wrong, God is just and God teaches us that there are consequences for our actions. But, God’s love never ceases! He loved so much that He gave His Son, hoping all people, including those two people would accept the offer of forgiveness for their sin. I knew I didn’t have an opportunity to share with them, so, I prayed for them as we drove back to the fair.

God wants us to share His love with the world. He wants us to TELL THE WORLD ABOUT JESUS!

In order to be ready to tell people about Jesus, we must see people the way God sees them.

The main way I have found to see people through God’s eyes is to spend much time in His word and to spend time praying for people.

What has God done lately in your heart in changing your perspective on people?

Have a Great Week!

“So he was reasoning in the synagogue with the Jews and the God-fearing Gentiles, and in the market place every day with those who happened to be present.” Acts 17:17
