Good Morning Davis Camp!

Jesus Talk

“And he will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers.” Psalm 1:3

In my previous life (I’m not referring to reincarnation 😊), I would be getting up at Davis camp this morning. Davis camp is a place that I love. It is a place that my grandparents camped during their hunting trips for a span over 50+ years. Then, for the last 15+ years, Me and my family have carried the tradition.

There is a type of tree in Davis camp that is my favorite; The Quaken Aspen Tree. These trees are so beautiful! They have a white bark with black rough edges coming through. Their leaves turn bright yellow and orange in the Fall. It is an incredible sight when you pull up to a meadow and see it lined with these beautiful pieces of God’s creation.

There used to be a stream that ran through Davis camp. My grandma would get water from it for her cooking, cleaning, and the like. This stream brought life to everything that was near it, including the trees. Over the years this stream has diminished. So much that quite a few of the trees in camp started dying. There were still trees that had beautiful leaves, but the ones that were dying or dead had leaves that were withered.

God’s word is the source of life! That’s why John refers to Jesus as the logos in the 1

st

chapter of John. When we think on His word continually, He gives us what we need to be prosperous. When we think on His word continually, He gives us everything we need to be fruitful.

Thinking on God’s word is the way to be ready to have Gospel Conversations with people!

Have a Great Week!

“So he was reasoning in the synagogue with the Jews and the God-fearing Gentiles, and in the market place every day with those who happened to be present.” Acts 17:17
