Gospel Conversations

Jesus Talk

“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

I recently listened to a podcast by Thom Rainer that spoke of the effectiveness of churches in reaching people for Christ. The reality of many churches growing is their growth is coming from transfers. Transfer growth is when Christians decide to relocate from one church to another. Though this can be very encouraging for the receiving church, there is no real growth in the Kingdom.

There are many reasons why people relocate churches. This blog is not to make people feel bad for relocating… This blog is simply to suggest where real growth needs to come from.

Real growth needs to come from the church reaching non-Christians for Jesus. There are many ways to reach people but at some point, it comes down to having a Gospel Conversation.

When is the last time you had a Gospel Conversation with a non-Christian?

Gospel = Good News, Good News = Jesus Came to Save Sinners like you and me.

I am convinced the more Gospel Conversations we have with non-Christians, the more non-Christians will get saved.

What is keeping you from having a Gospel Conversation with a non-Christian today? Can you imagine what could happen if everyone in your church were to set a goal for having Gospel Conversations each day or every week?

Let’s work toward growing our churches by having Gospel Conversations with non-Christians!

Remember, Jesus came to save sinners like you and me!

“So he was reasoning in the synagogue with the Jews and the God-fearing Gentiles, and in the market place every day with those who happened to be present.” Acts 17:17
