Awkward Jesus

Jesus Talk

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

Does the cross have any significance to you?

Rebecca and I were going to some furniture stores looking for a dining room table. As we were walking up to the second one, an older couple came walking out of the store and I noticed the man had a cross necklace on. The cross seemed a bit bigger than I usually notice on necklaces. I told him that I liked his cross and then asked, “does it have any significance to you?” He replied by saying that his wife buys him cross necklaces. His wife walked up while he was saying that and so I told her I like the cross necklace that she had on as well.

How often do you ask people if they have a relationship with Jesus? I have found many people, even if they have a cross around their neck, are taken back when asked if they have a relationship with Jesus.

Talking to others about Jesus can be awkward. That doesn’t mean that it shouldn’t be done. It just means that you will need some extra courage to start the conversation.

Talking to someone about Jesus just might save their life!

Have a Great Week!

“So he was reasoning in the synagogue with the Jews and the God-fearing Gentiles, and in the market place every day with those who happened to be present.” Acts 17:17
