“And I will grant wonders in the sky above, and signs on the earth beneath…” Acts 2:19

Daddy…do you believe it is a sign from God?

While we drove to our destination, my youngest son asked from the back seat, “Daddy, do you believe it is a sign from God?”

Here’s my answer:

The Bible refers to signs that God will perform in the last days. When there is a sign from God, many people get fixated on the sign rather than what the sign communicates.

If you are driving down the road and you see a sign for a crosswalk, you don’t keep your eyes on the crosswalk. You see the crosswalk sign and then look to see if there is anyone crossing the street.

We are in the last days based on Acts 2. Therefore, we should expect God to “grant wonders in the sky above”. There is no question that the Solar Eclipse is a wonder in the sky. God doesn’t want us to fixate on the sign, but to fixate on Him. God communicates with His people what He is going to do.

One thing I know; God wants us to remember that Jesus is coming back and He wants us to be ready for that day. Are you?

The solar eclipse is an awesome event, but more than that it is an awesome reminder that God is on the throne and He has a plan to save “whoever believes” in Jesus as Lord and Savior!

Get right with Jesus today and then go tell somebody about Him!
