Wait! Watch! Listen!

Marriage and Family

“Blessed is the man who listens to me (wisdom personified), watching daily at my gates, waiting at my doorposts.” Proverbs 8:34

A week of firsts…first masters level hermeneutics class… first time being Lead Pastor…first time both of my boys starting middle school…

A week like this can seem a little overwhelming…especially when I realize that I don’t have all the wisdom I need to do everything that comes with these responsibilities…

I need wisdom to do well in school…I need wisdom to be a good pastor…I need wisdom to be the daddy that my boys need during this important time in their life….and…I need wisdom to know how to have balance.

I am so thankful that God has told us how to get wisdom! When we connect Colossians 2:3 with the verse above, we come to realize that it is waiting, watching, and listening at the feet of Jesus that gives us all the wisdom we need. Sounds simple doesn’t it! It is, but waiting, watching, and listening isn’t easy. We must be intentional to take the time to wait, watch, and listen.

Do you need more wisdom?

Make space in your life to wait, watch, and listen to Jesus!

Have a Great Week!
